Diederik

Diederik van Apple was born in Leiden, Netherlands, in 1985 and grew up there. In his childhood he always visualized the big picture. There was no boundary between fantasy and reality. He was addicted to Walt Disney books and legendary films like The Godfather, Scarface, Pulp Fiction and Boondock Saints. He loved watching the stories, reading them and getting totally involved as if he were part of the play himself.

In 2003 he started studying law, but after two years he realized that he could not express his creativity in this study and decided to quit. In 2005 he started as an art representative in an art gallery in Amsterdam. During these years he traveled the world attending exhibitions and art fairs for the art gallery and found his passion.

With his experience, artistic insight and passion for art, he started thinking about designing artworks. Combine his imagination with the artistic atmosphere in which he has lived for the last few years. There was no boundary between work and free time and he began to build unlimited possibilities of digital mix media art. After starting out in 2017, he made three series of limited editions that sold out in no time.

This was the beginning of Van Apple's artwork and career. He took 6 months and brought out amazing new series of artworks; Mr. Satoshi, Golden Tweety, loved by Daffy and Mickey Who. After his recent releases, he decided to delve deeper into the creative vibe and once flew to Ibiza. The Most Artistic Island on Earth has been a huge hit and new things keep popping up. At the moment, his artworks are very popular among art lovers worldwide and investors are fascinated by his style.

Van Apple's art is a combination of digital techniques such as photography and famous properties. The base of the art is aluminum or gold foil, then he adds holograms, colors, glitter, diamonds and other handcrafted items. All artworks are hand finished with multiple coats of epoxy. By adding these layers he can create innovative and unique mix media art with an amazing 3D effect.
