Onizbar Born in Paris in the early 1990s, Onizbar is a self-taught French artist whose style and techniques resemble street art. However, he rejects any label: his paintings on canvas are made in a studio and his various references often come from pop culture. Onizbar expressed himself early on through comics and small paintings. After meeting and collaborating with the painter Jisbar, he began working on canvas and exhibiting his works in Paris. These reflect numerous cultural references inspired by international artists such as Benjamin Zhang Bin, Agnes Cecile or even Lora Zombie, but also the atmosphere of the streets of Paris, its inhabitants and their stories interwoven in identity-forming works. - Paul Thierry | NL Galerie
Paul Thierry The desire to collect and archive, the joy of combining and experimenting characterizes Paul Thierry as well as the constant impulse to question established norms and conventional artistic techniques and to explore new potential. Until 2010, the artist, born in 1960 in Dramatal near Gleiwitz (Upper Silesia/Poland), signed his works with "Peter Bednorz" and celebrated great national and international success as a pop art artist. In 2000 he shone public broadcaster TVP Polonia broadcast an artist portrait of Bednorz. In 2006, the German federal government acquired the work “Berlin”, which the artist had dedicated to the topic of “reunification”, through the agency of the Federal Foreign Office. It has also recently been included in the collection of the Liesborn Abbey Museum in the district of Warendorf (North Rhine-Westphalia); the world-famous 7-star hotel in Dubai, the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, also acquired a large-scale work from him. As early as 2005, Peter Bednorz, who united painters and graphic artists just as confidently as he did the draftsman and object artist, discovered the previously unknown medium of the monotype. From now on it will take up all his attention. In the last century, in the field of lithography, the universal genius Pablo Picasso succeeded in dealing with an artistic process that was established in art history but had fallen into oblivion. For Paul Thierry it is the medium of the monotype that continually inspires and stimulates him. In the meantime, there was no concrete trigger for the turn, rather it is the result of spontaneous, random experiments in the studio and thus once again proof of his openness and his will to creative freedom. It is well known that Thierry is an extremely productive and disciplined art innovator who does not shy away from the “horror vacui” (Latin: empty space). Not a day in the life of Paul Thierry goes by without passionately dealing with all conceivable forms of art design or, as we do with Pliny the Elder. can read in an anecdote about the painter Apelles: "Nulla dies sine linea" - No day be without a line! In other words: not a day goes by without useful activity – with Paul Thierry one would have to add: not a day without experiments! With the monotype he enters an unknown field, a terra incognita, to which he refers artistically in view of his intensive examination. Along with the "discovery" the decision to change the name was made, the reasons for which are both biographical and artistic in nature. Paul is his middle name, while Thierry seems closely related to the Latin word "terra" (earth). Already as a child he loved to build labyrinths in the deep earth and create sand sculptures there; he was only 10 years old and it testifies to his pronounced curiosity and longing to recognize things, to understand them and to literally "get to the bottom" of them - a quality that distinguishes him as a creator and characterizes his artistic activities to this day . From now on it is the medium of the monotype, which he illuminates and explores in its technical, formal and artistic refinements. The process originally comes from Italy and was developed by Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione (1616-1670). With the monotype ("an image") only a single impression is produced; instead of paper or canvas, the usual image carriers, a glass or acrylic plate is used. As long as the paint is still wet, the artist prints the motif reversed on the paper with a press or by hand rubbing. The monotype can thus be clearly identified as an original, as it only allows for this one print (a few more are lighter due to the loss of color). With conventional printing processes (e.g. etching or lithography) it is possible to produce an edition, ie a certain number of almost identical images. If Thierry now turns to an old technique, then this should not be seen as an indication of a lack of creative sovereignty, but rather its opposite: it is checked for its validity and topicality, the modern artist is confronted with a medium that used to be popular in the 18th century. and 19th century found its application. Paul Thierry is now adding new aspects to the process and extracting undreamt-of potential from the process. In this way, he transfers the monotype into the 21st century in a more or less modernized way. For example, he works with light effects or sometimes staggers up to four acrylic panels in a row; He also combines the process on acrylic plates with the classic canvas, in that both picture carriers are provided with motifs from his gigantic archive of picture templates and then mounted at a certain distance from each other. In doing so, the artist juggles both colored surfaces and graphic structures, which, when superimposed, ultimately result in the complete, complex picture. The staggering of the picture carriers transforms the originally two-dimensional picture into a seemingly object-like three-dimensional work of art. The process, or rather the translucent effect, evokes images of the tomography or cross-sectional images that a computer tomograph or a magnetic resonance tomograph produces of different body regions, such as an organ or joints. In view of the transparency, the artist literally makes his motifs "shine" and skilfully contrasts graphic lineament with painterly color surfaces. Thierry can therefore be considered the innovator and revolutionary of the monotype, since no artist has devoted himself to this process as intensively and innovatively as he has. His works can now be admired in the NL Gallery Salzburg. Since then he has maintained an ongoing global street campaign of over 500,000 stickers, placards and murals, using the alpha-numeric characters 'D3N!@L'. Intended as a conceptual means of marketing absurdism, DENIAL also challenges traditional notions of graffiti and public art through his bold and often satirical Quick View sold out 100mg FASHIONSTYLE "R"- skatedeck - Denial Out of stock Quick View sold out 100mg FASHION "LV"- skatedeck - Denial Out of stock Quick View sold out 100mg FASHION "CK" skatedeck - Denail Out of stock Quick View sold out 100mg FASHION "C"- skatedeck - Denial Out of stock Quick View sold out 100mg FASHION "G"- skatedeck - Denial Out of stock Quick View sold out 100mg FASHION "RL" skatedeck - Denial - signed Out of stock Quick View POP CAN pink - Denial Out of stock Quick View POP CAN yellow - Denial Out of stock Quick View AND THEN THNGS GOT BETTER (v) - Denial Out of stock Quick View sold / verkauft AND THE THINGS GOT BETTER - Denial - screen print Out of stock Quick View sold / verkauft IN THE BLACK - Denial Out of stock Quick View sold / verkauft DEAD LIKE - Denial - Out of stock Quick View sold SELF MEDICATION - Denial Out of stock Quick View sold THE END OF THE END - Denail Out of stock

Even in his early youth, the world of Marvel, DC and Disney offered him an opportunity to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in his parents' environment. Already at this time he begins to draw the characters with colored pencils and immerses himself in these distant worlds and heroic stories. After various jobs, he began to devote himself to his old passion – drawing – in the mid-90s. Initially he designed mascots and illustrations, and at the same time he studied both figurative and abstract painting on his own. In 2000 he became self-employed and founded the ArToonFactory – an agency that combines art (Art), illustrations/mascots (Toon) and graphics (Factory). Exactly 10 years later, the ArToonFactory becomes artmajabusiness. After attending art seminars to improve his drawing skills and explore new techniques, he decides to combine comics and acrylic painting and begins working on the “Comic Meets Art” series. Heroes from comics, computer games, series and films remain the focus of his work to this day, as can be seen in the works in his “Contemporary comic art by artmaja” series. Mario Stroitz has been working in his KunsTaum - the (Maja)rei in Klagenfurt since 2010: a place of artistic creation and encounter, a place for art and for life, which is constantly changing, like life itself. Now in the NL gallery. YOUNG, BOLD, FUN! – there are hardly any more appropriate words to describe the contemporary pop art style of the Austrian artist Mario Stroitz alias Maja. The style of the Austrian is unmistakably based on the style of great modern American artists. There are numerous points of identification with the Pop Art of the 1960s, but the artist Maja continues to develop this style and transfers it to the Presence. Through the use of neon or fluorescent colors, pop art has arrived in the now. The stencil graffiti design of the background also contributes to this and locates the works within contemporary positions with influences from the increasingly present and common area of street art. Based on Roy Lichtenstein, who also concentrated on the comic genre, Maja continues with his modern pop art variant. A relevant character, a rudimentary subject becomes a story through a single image. The protagonists of his latest works are well known to every viewer, from film, television or comic books from their own childhood or the present. Their actions are often action-packed, often comical and ironic, always captivating in their simplicity. The bright colors and the reducedness of what is depicted facilitates access to the works and the recipient quickly finds himself or herself in the trendy imagery. The artist's latest works from 2019 - 2021 bring grandeur and glamor to the artwork using metal, glitter, neon and fluorescent colours. Never stagnant, constantly in action and always in the midst of life, Maja's artworks seem to meet our world with enough wit, humor and irony. Enough for any viewer to deal with this world! F. Nicolas, der sehr feinfühlige Künstler und seine Editionen Francisco Nicolas A concept for my work is the idea of showing the image window. I use figurative elements. Over these figurative elements, I overlay geometric shapes with “abstract” forms and at the same time in another spatial level, as if it were in an inner space and could see the outer space through a window. This comes very close to Magritte's art “Cuadros ventana” (“Windows Pictures”). Other concept, my interest is in mix oposit concepts, like figurative/abstract, classic/contemporary, painting reality/photography/reality. I have been painting since childhood and had a good tutor in Barcelona (Spain) with a gallery that sold me all my work who lived between Barcelona and Paris. In 1997 I stopped painting due to cancer, I started dating again in 2009 and in 2011 I moved to London where I have my studio, with various exhibitions and art fairs in that city. Francisco Nicolá's works are in the following collections: CAAM Murcia - CULTURAL RIOJA. Logroño - REINA SOFíA COLLECTION. Madrid. La Caixa. Barcelona - Autonomous Region of Murcia. Murcia - COLLECTION D'ART L'Avui. Barcelona - Mango Collection. Murcia. GOVERNMENT COLLECTION. Madrid. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York, Bank of America. And in numerous private collections around the world His work has been exhibited at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the Royal Academy of London, the Arco Madrid, the Pinta Art Fair in London and the London Art Fair in numerous art galleries in London, Madrid, Barcelona and Paris. Zoro - Graffiti artists ZORO took graffiti off the street and brought it to his studio, where it ended up on canvas, skateboards, Arne Jacobsen Series 7 chairs and street signs. Its graphics feature famous cartoon characters and colorful and imaginative letter combinations. When the documentary Stylewars, which deals with the New York graffiti scene, came to Denmark in the early 80's, ZORO was sitting on the sofa as a teenager and his father was watching the show on TV. Both were fascinated by this new approach to drawing and painting and spent the rest of the evening creating their own graffiti sketches. ZORO, who loved to draw and paint in his childhood, knew immediately that this was something for him and soon spent almost all his time drawing and painting sketches in his room. When all the walls of his room were almost completely covered with his work, he shifted his creativity to his school's restrooms, where he painted almost all the walls with cartoon characters and letters. Before long he had painted his first legitimate piece in his old nursery, while the home of his first illegitimate work was a disused railway in Kastrup on the island of Amager. The pace soon picked up and ZORO became increasingly fascinated by this subterranean world, where the walls and facades of the city were painted in the dark of night. Much of his time was spent doing just that. ZORO was also interested in electro-boogie and breakdance, which were part of the Danish hip-hop scene in the early 80's. He often attended the Thomas P. Hejle youth club at Nørreport in Copenhagen, where every Friday dancers met and competed against each other. All graffiti artists also came to Thoms P. Hejle. Here they exchanged stories about their graffiti missions and showed each other sketches and photos of their work, and soon ZORO had hung up his dancing shoes and started to devote himself to graffiti. In high school, ZORO spent much of his time painting the facades of Copenhagen and the city's train tracks with his good friend CAR. When ZORO joined the military and later the sergeant school in Sønderborg, he found that he had less time for graffiti. Then, when he became a father in 1991, the graffiti had to be completely neglected. In 2013 ZORO resumed his graffiti career and met one of his old friends from the scene, BATES, who was still active. BATES convinced him to go out and paint again - although legally this time - and ZORO was drawn back into the world of graffiti and has been painting almost every day since...
