At a later age, Ludo Modelo began to paint because he did not have the opportunity. Creativity, however, has always remained and around his  On his 40th birthday the appeal had become too great and he gave in to the inner urge to create art.

This is how his first pictures came about.

It started with figurative works to somewhat more pastoral and later more abstract works. Always colorful and certainly not sad. Over the years his style has completely changed and grown, but the experimental and creative aspect continues to play an important role.

Nowadays his works have a colorful touch with the big mouths resulting from the saying that Antwerpers drink a big cup. He creates art with a playful sense of humor that contrasts starkly with today's gray, colorless society. His art is creative, playful and very colourful. His work combines pop art / abstract portraiture with an addictive rhythm to each work.

Strong bright colors, large abstract figurative figures with thick bold lines are characteristic and determine his contemporary style. They look like electrically charged figures, forcing a particular way of looking at the world he sees through his eyes.

His works are at various fairs, galleries and art exhibitions. Many commissioned works are created by him.
