Markus Haub Bei Markus Haub geht es immer um Autos. Schon als Kind liebte er es sie zu zeichnen, studierte später Transportation Design in Pforzheim und arbeitete ein Jahrzehnt bei Volkswagen und Renault in Barcelona und Paris, bevor er 2007 seine Karriere gegen die Selbstständigkeit als Künstler eingetauscht hat. Er arbeitet in seinem Atelier in Barcelona oder in Mainz. Die Fotos für seine „Racing Legende“ Serie erstellt er selbst. Dafür ist er im Sommer viel mit den eigenen Klassikern unterwegs. Auf Rallyes, Treffen oder Ausfahrten in ganz Europa. Von Le Mans bis Goodwood, von den Dolomiten bis an die Ostsee. Immer ist die Kamera dabei und es wird nach neuem Material gesucht. Fotografie ist seine Leidenschaft. Seine Originale entstehen als Collage auf Leinwand, die nun mit Schleifpapier und Bürsten zunächst „verletzt“, später mit Acrylfarbe, Lacken oder Sprühfarbe wider aufgebaut werden. Und mehr noch- das Bild bekommt neue Farbakzente und Struktur. Texte dienen als grafische Elemente. Überhaupt versteht Haub sich nicht als klassischer Künstler, sondern vielmehr als Macher, der verschiedene Disziplinen, wie Fotografie, Grafikdesign oder Malerei neu zusammenfügt und daraus Unikate entstehen lässt. Markus Haub is always about cars. In general, Haub does not see himself as a classic artist, but rather as a doer who reassembles different disciplines such as photography, graphic design or painting and creates unique pieces from them.
